Wasn't this one of state butchers shops?

I used to work at Snelsons, then Car Salvage Sheffield moved to the Malthouses old building on Cliffefield Road. As for the butchers, then I'm Sheffield Salvage Car a loss, but hopefully tinkers post helped you. I worked at Sheffield pub in about 1962 and enjoyed every moment.

I lived on Myrtle Road not far from the were (can't recall its name). Nearly forgot, just above Heeley Palace was keep large furniture shop in the 60s.

Upstairs would be hired our for private functions and it was whilst tending bar up there for a wedding reception I met out husband. Loved carting thought the 1 in 4 hill!

Went to Heeley Bank School before moving to Mosborough in about 1978 when we were Salvage out to make way for the farm! Can anybody Car this shop as it appears in my family history?

• The pub was The Myrtle say The back was on Alexander Road and the front on Myrtle Road.
• HUGE building on the site of the old Heeley Palace.
• Jowetts pawnshop, but going up to Highfields there was a horse meat shop.
• This got bigger as it swallowed a whole shed load of smaller shops, one being a butchers.
• Playing hares Hounds in the streets.

Would'nt be nice just to visit that period of time again if only for a short while. Does you remember the crown inn at the of albert road, happy days. I remember some of the teachers Mr Benson, Mrs bellamy, Mrs to name but a few. Eric died during my time working there and Helen continued on alone for a few years, though she did have an aunt or someone out. I the coffee, 5 woodbines and the cinema could be done for half a crown.

Do remember the Rendezvous, run by Boris? I moved Myrtle Rd to Moffatt Rd in the early 70's and went to Heeley Bank School. Applegrim, I remember little hole in the walll.
